Another trade has been made in the NFL before the start of the regular season next week. The Chicago Bears are acquiring linebacker Darrell Taylor from the Chicago Bears for a sixth-round draft pick in 2025.
NFL insider Tom Pelissero reported the news on social media.
Taylor was a second-round pick by the Seahawks in the 2020 NFL Draft. He played his college football at the University of Tennessee.
He redshirted his true freshman season, giving him extra time to learn. But in his redshirt freshman season, Taylor made nine tackles over eight games played.
It wasn’t until his redshirt junior year that Taylor started to make a name for himself. He finished that season registering 36 total tackles with eight sacks.
His senior season showed his consistency, posting 8.5 sacks on the year. He also added in a forced fumble, four passes defended, and a fumble recovery to show his versatility.
