In some cases, the water nearly reached the ceiling of several establishments. One of those businesses is Bennett EnviroClean LLC. The family-owned business has been doing environmental cleaning in Ashe and surrounding counties for more than 20 years. However, after Helene, the company is cleaning not only other people’s homes but their own building as well. “Unfortunately, we have got an environmental disaster ourselves right at the present moment,” Ruth Henson, the company’s office manager, said.
