PHOENIX (AZFamily) — It’s been two weeks since the wildfires ravaged the Los Angeles area, destroying more than 15,000 homes and buildings.
But through all the devastation, support continues to pour in for victims of the Palisades and Eaton fires, including from an Arizona nonprofit that is comforting those impacted, and that’s Something Good.
The organization wanted to stay anonymous but donated brand-new stuffed animals and sweatshirts to children affected by the tragedy. It hopes this small gesture will comfort the kids who’ve lost so much.
The bears traveled across the state lines over the weekend and ended up at the L.A. Dream Center’s drive-through relief efforts, where over 800-1,500 cars drive through daily!
Volunteers pass out clothing, water, food and necessities alongside companies like iHeart Radio, Starbucks, Wendy’s and Dunkin’ Donuts. Everyone is working hard to ensure families are well-fed and cared for.
It was also a touching moment when an LAPD helicopter was seen flying overhead to say thank you.
