CASSELBERRY, Fla. – After five years, Casselberry restaurant Alex’s Fresh Kitchen is shuttering for good in September.
The restaurant posted to social media on Monday about the closure.
“From the depths of our hearts, we want to extend our sincere gratitude for your unwavering support over the past five years. It is with bittersweet emotions that we announce the closing of Alex’s Fresh Kitchen on September 8, 2024,” the post reads.
The business did not offer a reason for the closure; however, the chef and owner, Alex Diaz, has previously commented on the struggles the business has faced.
“I would say it’s torture,” Diaz said on the Florida Foodie podcast in August 2023. “One minute, you have a good week — and you have good labor costs, good food costs going across the board — and then you do your next order and everything’s up, like $20-$30 or more. It’s like, ‘When did this happen?’”
