Bel Brands to expand plant in Brookings, will double production capacity as a result [Video]

PIERRE, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – In her State of the State address, Governor Kristi Noem emphasized the state’s desire to grow the agriculture industry.

One of the key components of this initiative may soon come to fruition with an expansion project in Brookings.

Bel Brands which make popular products such as The Laughing Cow and Go Go Squeeze, is expanding their Brookings plant and they say it’s going to make a lot of money for the state of South Dakota.

Bel Brand’s plant director in Brookings says the company will be building a second facility and doubling its production.

“It is a significant impact and again we’re very excited to grow our operations in Brookings it’s been a fantastic community to be a part of these last ten years,’ Jake Anderson, Brookings Plant Director said.
