TikTok ban forces local companies to rethink social media strategies [Video]

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — 13News Now spoke with a public relations company that has clients in Hampton Roads. They say the threat of a TikTok ban is changing much of their business model.

Ariana Mount announced her PR company My Media House at the beginning of this year.

 “Whether you’re a user or small business owner on TikTok, you’re kind of holding your breath right now,” said Mount.

She said for her clients, social media plays a large factor in how local business can connect to new customers and bring people in the door.
