LOGAN COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) – The Chief Logan Recreational Center is in the process of adding equipment to a brand new weight room, along with new fields and a building expansion.
The Logan County Commission and local donors helped pay for the upgrades.
“This place is a jewel in the mountains. We have a lot of things going on here, a lot of upgrades. We’re going to be able to host a lot of events here,” Mark McGrew, Logan County Circuit Clerk said.
The center has been around for 13 years, and Drew Bledsoe has been a member for 10 of them. He said he’s ready for the construction to be over.
“A lot more space, new equipment, more weights and just a better atmosphere.”
Bledsoe said the gym options are limited in Logan County, and the weight room gets too busy for the current size.
