A conversation between Billy Bob Thornton’s character and his daughter is drawing attention – and some backlash – on social media.
FORT WORTH, Texas — Taylor Sheridan’s latest Paramount series, “Landman,” made its debut this past weekend.
An example: Thornton’s character, a landman in charge of managing the chaos of an oilfield business, responds to one of his company’s planes that had crashed into an oil tanker (yes, it was a jam-packed first show).
“Where’s the pilot?” Thornton asks the sheriff.
“Cooking in the cockpit,” the sheriff says.
That being said, one scene in particular is drawing quite the reaction on social media. Thornton’s character is watching an Odessa Permian football game with his teen daughter, played by 27-year-old Michelle Randolph, when the subject of her dating life is brought up.
