A Jewish TV chef’s bakery in inner Sydney has been targeted with antisemitic graffiti.
Ed Halmagyi, better known as “Fast Ed” to many, posted about the incident on social media, saying he also received a threatening note at the Surry Hills business.
“Be careful,” the note read.
Halmagyi, who sells bagels, matzo balls, babka and many other delicacies from Israel and eastern Europe, called it “Being Jewish in Sydney, 2024 edition”.
“This note was shoved under the door of our bakery overnight,” he said, on Sunday.
“But the fact is, it’s hard to be intimidated by inner-city middle-class Cosplay Radicals who graduated primary school without their pen licence.”
NSW police are investigating.
