DES MOINES, Iowa – You can now get a new view of Des Moines’ historic Hoyt Sherman Place.
The non-profit is introducing self-guided electronic tours as a way to allow guests to explore each room in the venue in a unique way. Visitors can select paintings, sculptures, and furniture and learn in-depth information about each.
Scholastic Spotlight: Farmers, financial literacy, & journalism education
The new feature was added after Hoyt Sherman Place received an $11,000 Community Betterment Grant from Prairie Meadows.
The self-guided tours are free and available Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. starting October 8th. Guests must check out the devices with their ID at the mansion’s receptionist desk.
