The damage brought flashbacks for Devran Penrod and his wife Cheri Foster-Penrod, who had to dip into their savings just to reopen from the May EF-2 tornado.
TEMPLE, Texas — The owners of a Temple dog grooming business are rebuilding for the second time this year after Tuesday’s storms brought damaging rainfall.
Devran Penrod and his wife, Cheri Foster-Penrod, shared photos on social media shortly after, depicting damages to their storefront, I Shih-Tzu Knot.
The couple was at a family dinner Tuesday when they got a call from their friends that their roof was falling apart.
“Ceiling tiles that were just falling …. ceiling tiles and standing water,” Devran Penrod described to 6 News. “… [My] heart just dropped.”
They returned at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday to take care of the damages.
