BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University has announced the launch of a center that will offer learning experiences designed to support the healthcare workforce in Louisiana.
“This Center is designed to address the gaps in professional development and provide much-needed support for healthcare workers across the State of Louisiana and beyond,” said Dr. Laurinda Calongne, the inaugural executive director of the center.
The Franciscan Center for Professional Development, which is the first of its kind in Louisiana, will provide high-quality and accessible professional development programs, according to a news release.
The university said the center will offer online courses and in-person events starting in mid-October, followed by webinars and certifications next year.
