Auburn University will be hosting a competition on Tuesday, Oct. 1 for aspiring entrepreneurs, innovators and visionaries from across East Alabama to secure $1,000 in funding to take their ideas to the next level.
Set for 5 p.m. in the BEST room at Horton-Hardgrave Hall, the Auburn Ideas Jam competition supports early-stage business ideas and startups by offering a platform for growth without the need for a business plan or side deck.
“Our goal is to create an inclusive and accessible environment where anyone with a solid idea can step forward, share their vision, and receive support,” said Joshua Sahib, managing director of the Lowder Center for Family Business and Entrepreneurship at Auburn University. “By eliminating traditional barriers like business plans or slide decks, we’re opening the door for a wider range of participants and hoping to spur the winning entrepreneurs to quickly move from ideas into action.”
