Many school districts across Oklahoma will have their first board meetings on Monday since the start of the school year. Edmond Public Schools leaders are meeting on Monday, and one of the topics of discussion on the agenda is the American flag. This comes after many protested Edmond North High School and the district after a student was told he could not fly the American flag on his pickup truck. In August, Edmond North senior Caleb Horst said a teacher told him that he couldn’t fly the American flag. The incident prompted people to protest and rally in support of Horst. “It felt pretty good to just see how many people were behind us,” Horst said on Aug. 26.
