Brother Tommy offers support to others at Livingston Parish Courthouse [Video]

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A man who has changed many lives in the community by using his faith is receiving a lot of high praise after a social media post from Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard.

Ard’s message discussed Thomas Russell, known as “Brother Tommy,” and his impact on the community.

The post has almost 750 likes, over 50 comments and more than 100 shares.

Russell can’t believe the amount of support he has received from the community.

“I was shocked at all of the people’s comments and the shares on social media,” said Russell. “I wasn’t expecting this. I love serving our sheriff and the citizens of Livingston Parish.”

Since May, he has worked with security and bailiffs at the Livingston Parish Courthouse. Russell said he’s also the senior pastor at Albany United Pentecostal Church.
