SAN ANTONIO — In case you did not know, the San Antonio Spurs and South Padre Island have teamed up, making it the official island escape for the Spurs. 

The partnership helps bring awareness to the Spurs, the island, and San Antonio.

“We have the ability to redefine our destination with the development of this convention center and to rethink our marketing plans,” said Blake Henry, the South Padre Island Convention and Visitor Bureau’s chief executive officer to Valley Business Report.

“Going through this process and having a big name like the San Antonio Spurs is going to help us get more events.”
