From T-shirts to tattoos, merch frenzy follows Trump assassination attempt [Video]

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Just over four decades ago, former President Ronald Reagan was shot in an assassination attempt. He lived to tell the tale.

Four days ago, former President Donald Trump was shot in an assassination attempt. He, too, lived to tell the tale.

The difference between the presidents’ supporters between the 20th and 21st century? Trump supporters are making a quick buck off the 2024 Republican nominee’s survival.

Although they’ve been seen at merchandise stands in Milwaukee, Wis., during the Republican National Convention, new Trump-themed t-shirts have made their way as far as Wildwood, N.J. — like, 24 hours after the assassination attempt.

There are multiple designs, too.

In Wildwood, you can pick up a white T-shirt with a photo of Trump raising his fist in the air as Secret Service escorts him off the Pennsylvania stage that could have been his end, with “Legends never die,” written around the photo.
