Decades-old Bay City restaurant closes its doors [Video]

BAY CITY, MI – A fixture of the Bay City restaurant scene has closed, with owners saying in a social media post the difficult decision was made “due to financial conditions.”

Nino’s Italiano, 1705 Columbus Ave., officials closed Sunday, July 14, its owners said on Facebook. The business had been open for 50 years, with new ownership taking it over in 2020.

“This decision has not been easy, but due to financial conditions, we have to say goodbye,” the Facebook post reads. “We are immensely grateful for your support and the wonderful memories we’ve shared over the last 50 years. Your loyalty has meant the world to us.

“We hope to stay connected and perhaps cross paths again in the future. Until then, thank you for being a part of our family.”
