Omaha homeless shelter still without full power Friday

One of Omaha’s largest homeless shelters remains without full power Friday morning.

The Open Door Mission announced Thursday night that the power was out at their Garland Thompson Men’s Center and their Rebuilding Lives Center.

This incident is impacting over 300 guests and staff, according to the social media post.

In an update Friday morning, the Mission said that both centers have some lights and heat from generators.

Drop-off is available at the men’s center if you have any extra blankets.
